RE: Delivered in 24/96000

Bushido - Deliverance
Re-ripped from a vinyl album released on Third Mind Records (TMLP 12) in 1985 to high resolution 24-bit flac audio.  If you grabbed this dark synth classic first time round, delete those old files, this re-rip on a better deck sounds superb. If you didn't and you don't know this record, you'd better move fast.

Among The Ruins

Bushido - The Sands Of Nakajima
Ripped from a crackly old vinyl album released on Third Mind Records (TMLP 10) in 1985 to high resolution 24-bit flac audio.  If anything a highly complex piece of work, the Bushido debut album is very much like a mix of an old seventies progressive rock album, a film soundtrack and industrial gothic synth-pop. You certainly don't hear of too many records like this recorded these days.

Deliverance

Bushido - Deliverance
Most readers will have heard the Voices single which appeared here a few years back. The flipside Time And Time Again was a better indication of what Bushido were about, the track is reworked here as Lament. These are lush soundscapes of melody, like film John Carpenter soundtracks, overtly clever sequencer programs work over subtle rhythms, and the occasional lyrics are very dark. The classic Lament is a work of great beauty, it has majestic yet simple hook which runs at nearly seven minutes and forms the centerpiece of this album. I'm gushing, best stop now and let you make up your own mind!

From the Third Mind

Bushido - Voices

Re:Upped - here's a classic 12 inch single from the excellent Third Mind Records from a lost post a few years back. The label was owned by one Gary Levermore and this was his band. Bushido were a fascinating experimental three piece from Kent, whose work varied from minimal synth through mythical film soundtracks, complex ethnic rhythms and mood pieces. I will prepare a compilation discography on a future post, but for now here is their swansong, Voices a brooding electronic goth-dance number in two mixes, backed with the stunning Time And Time Again.
