Big Funk

Die Warzau - Funkopolis
Ripped from  a promotional double 12" vinyl single released on Fiction Records (FICSX 40) in 1991 to high resolution 24-bit lossless flac audio. From the penguinflight archives - I am not too sure we really need all seven interpretations of Funkopolis, however Die Warzau find a worthy groove with some close comparisons to Drinking Gasoline era Cabaret Voltaire which will no doubt appeal to many out there.

A1 Funkopolis
A2 Funkaphobia
B1 Le Funk
B2 To Le Funk
C1 Funk To Be Had
C2 Le Blanc Funk
D1 Funked Up
D2 Shock Box

  2. Thanks for this nearly forgotten item, and many other rare sides over the years. I have been conflicted about donating, due to the irregular appearance of things still in print / available as buyable download.* But you've turned me on to things I'd never heard about, and ripped music I'd probably never find available for sale. I was particularly happy to have found your blog while reading the 4AD history (Facing The Other Way) a year or two back. And I don't know how many times I thought I understood the parameters of your interests, there would be a surprising direction or exception (this DW set is a fine example, and recent Wax Trax items). Cheers for running such a great blog, and I hope you continue to discover music, new and old, that brings you much joy in years ahead.

*On the other hand, I've happily DL'ed a few buyable albums here that I already own on vinyl. So in your debt for the work of ripping / cleaning up.
