Sowing Seeds

The Seeds - Debut Album (Mono Version)
A quick & dirty post. Here's a rip which came my way of the debut Seeds album, of which original pressings were mono. Many of the tracks found their way onto the 1988 Bam-Caruso compilation in re-worked stereo, but of note here is No Escape, covered years later by Cabaret Voltaire.

Ripped (by someone else) from an original vinyl album released on GNP Crescendo Records (GNP 2023) in 1966 to high quality lossless flac audio.

A1 Can't Seem To Make You Mine
A2 No Escape

The Seeds - Evil Hoodoo
Out of L.A came The Seeds, who never really gained the due credit for the influence their freak-beat punk garage sound had on bands in years to come. From another eighties Bam-Caruso compilation, Evil Hoodoo samples much of their finest work and all their singles bar one. The original GNP Crescendo releases were mono and then re-worked to stereo for subsequent pressings. The Bam-Caruso release uses the tampered stereo versions and clearly some were sourced from vinyl. My copy is on brown marbled vinyl and comes with plenty of surface noise, though mostly in the right channel which results in a rather odd effect.

Ripped from a vinyl album released on Bam-Caruso Records (KIRI 082) in 1988 to high quality lossless flac audio.
