Ripped from a 12" vinyl single released on Reaction Records (REACT 007) in 1983 to high quality lossless flac audio. This was one of the requests in the re-post thread of a couple weeks back. It's just straight forward re-post so the same files are linked as used a few years ago.

Here's some more delicious synthpop from NZ's Car Crash Set released in 1983. Whilst hardly an original sound, there is something here for most tastes. The Vince Clarke tinged Outsider is backed by the lovely Fall From Grace which borrows heavily from New Order's Your Silent Face and Joy Division's Atmosphere - so it must be good, right?

Car Crash Set - No Accident

Kiwi popsters Car Crash Set released just one album proper in 1984. No Accident is a good listen and the band's influences should be clear to all. Like a mash-up of early-mid eighties British bands such as New Order, Shriekback, Paul Haig, Flock Of Seagulls, OMD and Leisure Process, this album offers nothing new and relies on familiarity to keep the listener entertained. The pop-funk of Breakdown was a single but is more a mediocre stab at commercialism than a credible slab of new wave dance. Download, listen, enjoy and then file away and forget.
