Oyster Band - Love Vigilantes
Ripped from luscious pink 10" vinyl in 24-bits, The Oyster Band cover New Order amongst others!
I don't care much for most Folk music (nor it's colonial cousin Country & Western), and although I have previously referred to this as a novelty single, it is really much more than that. Love Vigilantes does work well in this genre, probably because it has a story and meaning, much unlike any other lyric by Bernard Sumner. All that's missing is that familiar Shergold which drives the original (replaced by an accordion on this version).
Released in September 1989 on Cooking Vinyl Records (FRYX 0012) in a fold out poster sleeve to high resolution 24-bit FLAC.
