Horses With No Names

Acid Horse - No Name, No Slogan
Ripped from a compact disc single released on Wax Trax! Records (WAX 081CD) in 1989 to high quality lossless flac audio. Okay, so who do we have here...? Stephen Mallinder (Cabaret Voltaire), Chris Connelly (Fini Tribe), Will Rieflin (The Blackouts & Revolting Cocks), Richard H. Kirk (Cabaret Voltaire), Al Jourgensen (Ministry) and Paul Barker (Ministry). Pretty impressive line-up I'd say. The insert credits say Alien Dog Star, Biff, Harold Sandoz, Gallopin and Scorpiosaddlebutt!! All yours folks.

2 No Name, No Slogan (Remixed)

New Clean World

Revolting Cocks - Big Sexy Land
It just figures that Big Sexy Land should follow Twitch. I originally posted about this nearly five years ago, and hopefully now some of you can enjoy a lossless version. Being a lazy and opinionated blogger, here's what I wrote back then...
Never ever believe what Wikipedia tells you! The original (and best) Revolting Cocks were Belgians Luc van Acker and Richard 23 (from Front 242) with Ministry's Al Jourgenson on production duties. The fact that they are now labelled as an industrial metal band with Jourgenson taking the lead has very little bearing on the original line up, after all compare Ministry's early work with that of Front 242. If it wasn't for Van Acker, Jourgensen would still have been churning out sub standard new wave dance/pop.
Released on the UK arm of Chicago's Wax Trax label, this monstrous and at times disturbing album was one of the landmarks of the dim musical years of the mid-80's.
Stand out tracks are the growling disco beat of No Devotion and the two damning "tributes" to American corporate mass murderers Union Carbide. Now known these days as the industrial giant Dow Chemical.
