Martin L Gore - Counterfeit
Ripped from a vinyl album released on Mute Records (STUMM 67) in 1989 to high resolution 24-nit flac. The one with the strange haircut in Depeche Mode releases a mini album of credible synth-pop covering Joe Crow, Tuxedomoon, The Durutti Column, Comsat Angels, Sparks and trad. in that order. Your host believes Joe Crow's Compulsion is one of the finest synth-pop songs ever recorded and the depeched one seems to do it justice. It was perhaps brave of him to attempt a Durutti cover and he carries it off pretty well too.

A1 Compulsion
