Tortilla Flats - Giant Sky
Some Steinbeck inspired eighties twang rock from Santa Barbara's Tortilla Flats. Giant Sky is a catchy indie-pop-rock number with the unusual addition of a horn section, reminding me much of what The Teardrop Explodes were achieving a few years before. Waiting For The Rain To Stop is much in the same vein whereas Shall Ever Be has shades of alternative country. Good stuff! This was to be their only release according to Discogs unless anybody knows better.
