Angels

The Jazz Butcher Conspiracy - Angels
Ripped from a 12" vinyl single released on Glass Records (GLASS 12049) in 1986 to high resolution 24-bit flac audio. Northampton's finest with some delightful sentimental wit for those who share my disgust for all things Robbie Williams.

The Jazz Butcher - Southern Mark Smith
Now seems about a good time to post the excellent debut by The Jazz Butcher. You all know the track from A Scandal in Bohemia, but here it is in it's original unadulterated form, quite unique and verging on genius. It just seemed a good way to round off the current and tiring plethora of postings. Don't you know they only make pop records out of plastic...

The Jazz Butcher - A Scandal In Bohemia

Another worthy lossless re-rip from vinyl. If you have never heard and learnt to enjoy the sheer pop pleasure that is Southern Mark Smith, then you need a copy of this album, or if you really want to part with some cash - buy the original single.
Secondly, The Jazz Butcher is not a jazz band (nor is he a butcher) - they are far from it - just think Robyn Hitchcock without the acid. Pure guitar pop with witty lyrical observations. Soul Happy Hour is a tribute to heavy drinking like no other, Caroline Wheeler's Birthday Present is The Birthday Party (Nick Cave's version) with a sense of humour.
