Drone Dreams

Sonic Boom - Spectrum
I managed to avoid buying this on vinyl opting instead for the CD. The opt-art gatefold spinning sleeve was quite unique. Here's a rip of my original Silvertone CD of this shoe-gazey drone-psychedelic revivalist classic. Angel sounds just as good today as it did back in 1989. The album has been mastered quietly and I would recommend cranking up the amazing You're The One.

Ripped from a compact disc album released in 1990 on Silvertone Records (ORE CD506) to high quality lossless flac.
A1 Help Me Please
A2 Lonely Avenue
A3 Angel
B1 Rock'n'Roll Is Killing My Life
B2 You're The One
B3 Pretty Baby
B4 If I Should Die

Perfect Prescription

Spacemen 3 - Playing With Fire
IMHO likely the most consistent of all the original eighties shoegaze bands, and very probably my favourite album by the Midlands duo. It's Friday and the sun is shining here in the UK. Whatever you are doing this weekend, give Playing With Fire another listen - you know you should! The noise sequences of Revolution and eleven minutes of  Suicide followed later by the gospel goodness of Lord Can You Here Me? will make everything seem right again. Happy weekend.

Ripped from a compact disc album released on Fire Records (FIRE CD16) in 1988 to high quality lossless flac audio.
