Here is the second on the series of mysterious Bulgarian voices licensed for the UK market by 4AD. Steve from Norwich has come up trumps by graciously donating rips from his significant collection. Ripped from a compact disc album released on 4AD Records (CAD 603CD) in 1986 to high quality lossless flac audio. Bulgaria isn't so mysterious these days, back in 1986 it was technically still behind the Iron Curtain and a place where you went on cheap holidays to the sun in rusty old Tupolev tri-jets for a diet of pickled vegetables with dubious heritage cuts of pork. 

Clearly seeking something a little different to sit alongside his worthy label stars This Mortal Coil and the getting more ethnic by the day Dead Can Dance, Ivo licensed this obscure 1975 Swiss album for his label. Bulgaria surely has improved these days as it has broken free of Soviet shackles and joined the ever expanding EU, and possibly 4AD are not as groundbreaking a label as they were back then, but they still turn out good stuff ...don't they? 

Anyway, here's your chance to impress the neighbours into thinking you've gone all über-hipster with a new found taste in the choral exotica. You may however, just get some funny looks from over the fence.
