A three-track EP released in Italy to celebrate the Greetings Festival in the town of San Giovanni Valdarno in 1986. I assume the band did play the festival. The EP featured re-recorded or at least similar versions of some tracks which appeared on the Partyline single released the same year on Factory, track one was known as Partylive on the UK release.

Re-ripped from a 12" EP released on Materiali Sonori (MASO 7002) in 1987 to high resolution 24-bit FLAC audio.

I've just noticed somebody on eBay trying to flog a tape of this show, we can't have that, can we? Here is a recording of the superb Stockholm Monsters supporting New Order at the Birmingham Powerhouse on the 3rd June 1984. Ripped from an unknown generation tape, but a high quality audience recording in FLAC format:

Stockholm Monsters - Demo Tape

Some more Factory obscuria for you. This time from a demo tape featuring unreleased songs by FAC noisy pop stars Stockholm Monsters.

Soft Babies eventually featured on the b-side of the classic Happy Ever After single. The long and the short dubs featured here are superb unreleased recordings. Two other tracks, The Future and James were pre-Factory demos and have never been distributed before. I've also included an unknown live track, which is fairly tuneful Stockies fare, and I'm told it was from a gig in 1985 but the track was never recorded in the studio.

As these tracks are ROIO, I'm posting them as lossless FLAC tracks. If you're not too sure how to listen to or process these, just flick back through the posts for instructions.

Stockholm Monsters - Live at The Rock Garden

Another lossless rarity, a Stockholm Monsters live tape transfered to FLAC format.
On the 8th July 1983, Stockholm Mosters played two sets at London's Covent Garden Rock Garden and some kind soul taped them both.
I just wish I'd seen this lot live myself, there is a unique power and energy in these recordings, with the band playing formative versions of the tracks which would eventually appear on Alma Mater as well as a few oldies. Tony France's voice screams tearfully at the audience, with toytown organs, mad percussion, thrashy guitars, plodding bass and a lone tuneless trumpet.
