So how do you follow Bros? Some Shock Headed Peters perhaps? Over the past month or so, I have been lucky enough to receive a significant number of vinyl rips for use on ESWA - there have also been a few paypal donations to help finance a good few rarer items which have and will appear over the next few months...plus of course a new cartridge! Surely one of the most original bands to fall off the end of post-punk, former Lemon Kitten Karl Blake empties his vivid and really dark imagination lyrically with the Shock Headed Peters. This album is not for the faint of heart, it's powerful, it's poetic, it's the journey through the mind of one of rock's most tortured souls. This isn't easy listening, this is difficult listening, Blake's warped prose assaults the unwary and leads them down to a very messy end. Parabola and Say No To Funk are powerful stand-out tracks which pound you incessantly to a pulp. There are some considerable variances in volume throughout the album track-by-track which I have left as is for the purposes of this rip. For Rob.
