Big Flame - Sink E.P.
I hope you'll agree a very worthy re-rip,this time including high res scans. For a brief period of time in the summer of 1984, Hulme's Big Flame were the best band in the world! Often cited as a C86 band (how wrong and late the NME were), Big Flame's live jerky guitar-funk energy in 1984 eclipsed that of local suitors such as Twang and trans-pennine wannabees, Stump, The Wedding Present and Age of Chance. The fabulous Sink EP on their own Laughing Gun label stood out from a Manchester scene far too smitten with The Smiths and Steven Morrissey's infactuation with all things sad, morbid and dreary. A John Peel session soon followed and finally the world sat up and took notice. In 1985, Big Flame became bIG fLAME and signed to Ron Jonson Records. Things were never the same again and the band split in 1986 after a few more singles and EPs.Ripped from a 7" vinyl single released on Laughing Gun Records (PLAQUE 001) in 1984 to high quality lossless FLAC audio.
