Exploiting The Prophets - Code Of Coincidence
Ripped from a vinyl album released on Eksakt Records (EKSAKT 007) in 1984 to high resolution 24-bit lossless flac audio. Courtesy of blog follower Curious Guy, here is the debut album from Tillburg post-punk band Exploiting The Prophets (formally Exploiting The Profits I understand). Code Of Coincidence is a powerful and dark body of work, reminding me musically of Crispy Ambulance's The Plateau Phase, though it would be difficult to imagine Alan Hempsall tackling the lyrical matter on Raymond's Room. Fans of dour and moody post-punk will appreciate All Of It...For Life, things get a bit conceptional on the two Laschy tracks which bleed into The Other Side. The experimental dub-electronica on Bob-O-Dub gets things back on track and the sad simplicity of 22 New England is a poignant ending to a great album. Enjoy.
