Last night saw the opening of Peter Hook's nightclub venture in central Manchester FAC251 : The Factory. The venue is a three floor club in what was Factory Record's final offices and is designed by Hacienda designer Ben Kelly. Hook was joined onstage by fellow Manc musos and performed a number of Joy Division / New Order / Monaco and Freebass(?) numbers.
Given away on the night was a limited edition multimedia enhanced CD of a new Peter Hook track Tokyo Joe. The disc also features a video of the track made from recent Kevin Cummins shots of the venue.
The track itself is a typical bass driven number much akin to Hook's work with New Order & Monaco.
