I was bombarded by spam and chaff by the disaffected last time I put up an email address, but feel the need to allow followers to contact me directly.

Please read below before requesting re-posts, but am always open to suggestion or recommendation. Those who donate get whatever they want ...within reason!

Welcome to what will likely be a huge slice of my record collection with a few tapes and compact discs thrown in for good measure.

My focus will be on mostly long deleted & unavailable music, where the band are no longer active and where it is literally impossible to obtain this music commercially without paying over the odds on EIL.com or similar sites.

Occasionally, some re-released product will appear - this will mostly be by accident or by some twisted plan to incite you to track down the reissue and give these great artists some of your money.

As a hark back to my favourite record shops where everything was just filed A-Z without the 90's obsession of pigeon holing music into a multitude of categories, you won't find any obscure labeling here, just a record of my rather varied musical taste.

I encourage you to sample this stuff, it is all rather very good, and some of it is extremely rare.

No music is shared directly on these pages, but you may find pointers to other sites where some items are available to sample. Should any of the artists included object to their work on this blog, please ask me and I will gladly remove any links. Most items have been obtained from analogue rather than digital resources.

I used to attempt to keep the links live but this proved to be a lengthy process and there just aren't enough hours in the day. From mid-2013, links are guaranteed only for two weeks. To avoid disappointment, just add me to your blog roll and you will be kept informed of new posts. I am afraid that I can no longer do requests (re-ups or otherwise).

If you do hear something you like, please leave a message in the comments, that way I'll know that I'm not wasting my free time writing this stuff.
