Mekanik Kommando - It Would Be Quiet In The Woods If Only A Few Birds Sing
Originally released as a vinyl album on Torso Records (TORSO 334) in 1981. Reproduced here from digital sources in high quality lossless flac audio. It was easy to underestimate Dutch alternative and experimental music in the early eighties, so as a consequence most of us would have missed out on minimal synth band Mekanik Kommando. Here is their 1981 debut album reissued a few years ago on top notch Dutch label Tonefloat. Despite their EBM sounding moniker, the band were to go on a release music in a variety of styles before eventually splitting in 1988. A few members were eventually to form the influential and creative The Use Of Ashes. With thanks to Rob.
