This obscure American band were "famous" for introducing us to Martha Tilson, who took over vocals with A Certain Ratio. Tilson joined ACR during their 1980 tour of the East Coast USA after which she became bassist Jez Kerr's girlfriend. All went well until UK authorities realised she was working in the UK without a work permit and deported her in late 1981 back to the US.
Occult Chemistry was her first band and this 7" EP is a nice collection of jerky punky jazzy funk.
