Single Gun Theory were a band I knew little about until a recent request post. We have already had the 1987 debut album posted a few weeks back and here now are a couple of albums and one single courtesy of blog followers Kristian and thehappyone. From the same label as Boxcar and Severed Heads, SGT gave us a wealth of gentle dreamy electronica which sold well in their native Australia, plus Canada where they had a deal with Nettwerk. and the USA courtesy of IRS Records. Nice stuff.

Ripped from a compact disc album released on Nettwerk Records (NTCD 39) in 1987 to high quality lossless flac audio. I had the smart idea of opening a request thread a few weeks ago and one of the posts which caught my eye was a request for some of the work by these Australian technoguists. Two blog followers, Kristian and thehappyone have come up trumps and filled the void with most of their albums. Here is the debut Exercise This Wasteland which was never released in the UK, so consequently many of us on this tiny island would have missed these melodic sample-heavy Antipodean techno beats .
