The Rutkowski sisters went onto bigger things and eventually gained huge acclaim for their extraordinary vocal work on the last two This Mortal Coil albums on 4AD and then The Hope Blister (also on 4AD).
Their original sound was very much in the pop/soul field and they should have broken through, especially given that Warners found success with Simply Red the following year. The three singles are hardly classics, but will be remembered as "should-have-been" hits. The band did release on album on CBS "In An Ideal World" - which I don't have (anybody willing to share?)
Production and guitar credits go to Alan Rankine (him again!)

Hi Thanks for this post,
ReplyDeleteI loved this band ever since I bought their album on tape. I was lucky enough to find all 3 12" singles as well but never found 'Be Thankful' 7" so thanks for that. I post the link when its ready but if you have any other pictures, etc. of this band please email me at sunset.gun@gmx.com
